How to Have a “Pinch Proof” St. Patrick’s Day

We’re gearing up for another St. Patrick’s Day and maybe you’ve heard the saying “Pinch Me, I’m Irish?” Did you know that by making one wrong decision with your outfit choice on this Holiday could mean a few tiny bruises on your arm? We are here to help you avoid this from happening with a few fashion ideas to keep you pinch proof and let you enjoy the day sipping on your favorite St. Patrick’s Day cocktail like the Ireland Iced Tea

Forgot to wear green on St. Patty’s Day? Don’t be surprised if you get pinched.  No surprise, it’s an entirely American tradition that probably started in the early 1700s.  St. Patrick’s revelers thought wearing green made one invisible to leprechauns, fairy creatures who would pinch anyone they could see (anyone not wearing green).  People began pinching those who didn’t wear green as a reminder that leprechauns would sneak up and pinch green-abstainers. Obviously, St. Patrick’s Day falls on a Tuesday this year.  So fashion can mean many things for someone who is working, takes the day off to hit their favorite bar, or maybe has a cocktail party planned or to attend that evening.  Here are a few options to add a little green to your wardrobe without having to run to rummage through your closet that morning realizing you don’t own ANYTHING that works (happens to me every year!)

This dress from Nordstrom.com is one of my favorites.  Its simple enough to wear again, but will help you make a statement at your St. Patrick’s Day party.

But lets say you don’t want to break the bank on a dress for this occasion.  Here is another option from Nordstrom.com that will be a little easier on your wallet so you can order more drinks at the bar ;)

Guys, we didn’t forget about you!  Since you probably don’t take this tradition as seriously (or look for reasons to go out shopping) here’s an idea besides a green beer in hand to participate!

Whatever you decide to do on this day, make sure you have a great time, drink responsibly, and be safe getting home! Cheers!
